Luggage & Baggage Logistics
Light aircraft (Cessna Caravans) operating to safari airstrips strictly enforce a 15 kg (33 lbs) weight limit per passenger in soft-sided duffel bags (dimensions around 24" x 12" x 10") with no rigid frames or hard shells, because the cargo pods are compact.
Our airport logistics team meets you upon arrival at JKIA or Wilson Airport. We provide complimentary safari soft duffels if needed, repack your safari essentials, and safely store your large hard suitcases in our secure, climate-controlled Nairobi holding facility. When you return from safari or land at your coastal beach resort in Diani/Mombasa, your stored bags are delivered straight to your hotel.
You don't need to stay at the airport. Our on-ground baggage team files the Property Irregularity Report (PIR), tracks your bag continuously on the WorldTracer network, collects the bag through customs once it arrives in Nairobi, and arranges direct driver or bush-flight delivery straight to your safari tent or resort.
Airlines charge heavy penalty fees at the airport check-in counter for excess baggage. When you alert your mustuds agent at least 24 hours prior to flight departure, we pre-purchase additional baggage allowances through consolidated agent tiers at significantly lower rates.
